Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Project Engineer to join our growing team in our Colorado Springs, CO office. Icon Structures offers competitive salaries with comprehensive benefits including 401(k) with match, health and dental insurance, PTO, vehicle allowance with gas card, and a cell phone allowance. The salary range for this position is $60k-$80k.

Job Responsibilities

This position includes a variety of responsibilities that include:

  • Jobsite Safety, Investigate for Code Compliance and AHJ Requirements
  • Assist PM with Preparing and Maintaining Project Budget and Commitments
  • Assist PM/Superintendent with Preparing and Maintaining Construction Schedule
  • Assist PM/Superintendent with Monitoring and Reporting Project Status
  • Manage Project Startup, Subcontractor, Owner/ Architect/ and Contractor, Preinstallation, Subcontractor and all other meetings and ensure distribution of meeting minutes.
  • Assist PM with invoicing and the billing process.
  • Understand project schedule/logistics and assist PM using ASTA Power Project updates and distribution to applicable parties. Assist PM in documenting weather events. Assist PM and Superintendent in weekly progress updates, ensure distribution to applicable entities.
  • Ensure all applicable project permits, AHJ administrative requirements, Company Documentation information is accessible for field use.
  • Manage project directories.
  • Assist PM in budget management.
  • Completely understand and manage the Construction Documents, update CDs with all document revisions (posting) and ensure information if distributed to applicable entities.
  • Review, submit and process RFI’s thru all applicable entities. Identify any time and cost impacts of each and assist PM in evaluation of additional risk. Communicate any changes with project team.
  • Review, submit and process Submittal Documents thru applicable entities. Identify time and cost impacts of changes and assist PM in evaluation of additional risk. Communicate this information with project team. Assist with material procurement.
  • Complete jobsite visits often and collect photos and video.
  • Identify and correct jobsite safety and cleanliness concerns. Investigate any code compliance, quality, or correctness deficiencies and communicate these to PM & Superintendent.
  • Strong leader with verbal & written communication skills and high software capability
  • Promote Icon Structure’s standards of excellence on each project by ensuring that safety, schedule, quality and profit goals are reached.
  • Promote Owner, Architect, and Consultant relationships to seed the next project
  • Understand and complete OSHA 30 training
  • Accurately read and interpret plans and specifications.
  • Ability to learn and work with misc. software including Procore.

Job Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1-5 years experience in Construction and related trades. An internship is also acceptable.
  • Must have good references from previous clients & employer
  • Must be a resident of the United States.
