Key Features:
Funded in part by the Federal Aviation Administration and the Build Kansas Fund, this project provided the Manhattan Regional Airport with much needed airplane hangar space including 6-bay box hangars and 2-bay box hangars for larger aircraft.
Project Info
Building new structures at an active airport has its challenges, building 2 new hangars in different airport locations along with approach replacements takes that challenge to a new level. With very strict timelines for each phase of the project, limitations on how/when work could be done, and stringent quality control requirements, the team was up for the challenge and finished both hangars ahead of schedule and with no change orders.
